Cheetara -May 2005 This was a bit of an office contest to create a cartoon character piece while working at a comic/ toy/ TV production company. I ended up creating a "Santiago-fied" Cheetara from the mid 80's cartoon "Thundercats". She is clutching a portion of the unraveled "Mumra" who she kills. It is actually part of a bigger piece done as a report of women across the USA that murdered their significant others in very strange ways. I know. Morbid. One report included is a young Barbra Bush (first lady) and how she killed her boyfriend with her car. Google if you don't believe. Yes, I know, too artsy fartsy. Keeping the conceptual art simpler these days.
