30 Days of Burlesque project

It’s that time of the year again. For this cycle, the theme for my “30 days of” art project is the wide wonderful world of Burlesque in all it’s facets, beauty, and eras.
I use the term “Burlesque” loosely because the language of that word FOR ME includes dancers, showgirls chorus girls, Strip teasers, Peelers, Vedettes, Las Diosas de Carne” (“Flesh Goddesses”) Follies, Revues and Cabaret from the 1880s to now from a variety of countries. As usual I will post one per day. If they are more risqué I will provide a link for uncensored versions. Stay tuned. -Santiago-

Day Sixteen "Oshun"

Oshun (known as Ochún or Oxúm in Latin America) is an Orisha, a spirit that reflects one of the manifestations of God in Ifá and Yoruba religion. She is syncretized with Our Lady of Charity, patroness of Cuba. Oshun is said to have gone to a drum festival one day and to have fallen in love with Shango. Since that day, Shango has been married to Oba, Oya, and Oshun, though Oshun is said to be considered his principal wife.[
